Description
We led social for Hulu's original series, The Other Black Girl.
We led social for Hulu's original series, The Other Black Girl. From pre-launch to weeks after premiere, we translated the show's satirical horror into a social media presence that decoded all the corporate cringe into a safe space for all of us who have been there.

The Other Black Girl spoke to a quiet truth that many Black women carry. Being the only one in the room, navigating double standards, and managing the weight of invisibility and hypervisibility at once. Our content leaned into those realities, using The Other Black Girl's moments to reflect, provoke, and validate what it feels like to survive it all.
Insight
The finale's twist wasn't as scary as the real-life truth it revealed.

Idea
We made the timeline feel like the break room after a weird meeting.
The social strategy mirrored the series' duality. From cryptic copy to carousel confessionals, the content pulled viewers deeper into the show's undertones. The content resonated because it didn't come from the outside looking in. It came from our lived experience.
Impact
Book lovers became advocates for the show.
The Other Black Girl activated fans of the original book and built a loyal following of new fans. We tapped into custom content with the cast, creators, and UGC. We leveraged the series' twists and turns to pull content that built anticipation for every episode, paired with a tone and voice that let followers know we were clocking every reference in the series. Ultimately, our partnership revealed that corporate horror is relatable AF and The Other Black Girl was the perfect series to shine a mirror on the conversation.
